Dutch Oven Cooking   10am – 3pm Sandhill Wildlife Area, 1715 County Hwy X, Babcock.  This workshop focuses on the use of Dutch ovens, and participants eat what they cook. Cost of $20 includes meal , refreshment and recipes.  Call 715-884-2437

May 17th to 19th  

Camp Douglas Armed Forces Day,  7am – 11:30am, Nelson Park and downtown Camp Douglas. Features a carnival, live music, little Miss and Mr. Pageant, Car Show, Craft Show, Softball Tournament, Parade, Fireworks, and much more. $25 or $20 with Military ID. Military Night & Veterans Memorial Race, gates open at 4:30pm with time trails at 6:30pm and racing starting at 7:45pm. Golden Sands Speedway, 10992 Hwy 54, Wisconsin Rapids.. Petenwell Muskey Challenge.  Tournament held on Lake Petenwell and the Wisconsin River. Entry fee is $220 per boat. Friday night registration/ rules meeting is required. Call 715-424-0452

Heart of Wisconsin Comedy Sports Night  7pm, Wild Horse Banquet Hall, 9031 Cty Rd WW, Kellner. The three player exhibition match features an hour of fast-paced improvisational comedy games and scenes all based on audition suggestions and participation. Ticket cost $15 in advance or $20 at door. Dinner and show for two Costs $55
